Hahah - I love that the door explodes open, it amuses me. I put the explosion noise in as a placeholder but then I got quite attached to it so didn't go find a door-smash noise!

Awesome

Just fun as hell - awesome little production, great parody on the oldies, and sweet new characters. Lot of talent here

Fun and smart

A classic example of a movie not needing incredible graphics but being driven by wonderful ideas; very funny, unpredictable and widening in scope as it goes on like the best of old cartoon shorts.

.........

I love you with all my heart. You. You. You.

Clearly...

Jerry is an idiot. Also, nice traditional drive-home of, "do something bad and you're going to cliche hell!!!"

wonderful, purely

wonderful! A very original concept, only borrowed slightly from recent cube-y-ish concepts in art literature and comics...but what isn't in these post-modern times..but the execution of this concept is the best execution I've seen in some time - you are one of the few that "got it" - they did what they set out to do, and people "get it". Very slick animation and sound which brings to mind any quality cartoon which used both to seemlessly boost the other to great effect (stickin' around, etc) - if you want constructive criticism (which is highly tempting, only because when something this great and professional comes along, you want to try and help the person as much as you can into being that much more ready for big time (or your tastes differ and you're a big jerk)) I can say that in terms of story flow and witty dialogue (writing) it wasn't Harvey Birdman or Family Guy - which isn't to say it wasn't funny, and cute, and fun. It really was - there could as with any creation be some adjustments and slickisizations? For example the office/boss scene which kind of lost my attention as compared to the quick opening scene and the bird scene. Anyway, great show and great SHOW. Let's see alot more, hopefully on Adult Swim eh?

nice review my friend. I'm sure our writing and animating abilities will improve as we get more episodes under our belts. There's always stuff that can be improved. can't stop moving forward.

Too bad there's no rating for direction, camera...

..animation work, story etc. because that is where you get your 10. The scales tip heavily due to your nearly flawless flow of action and excellent animation-to-camera timing, coupled with brilliant imagination of events, and an overall complete competence of direction and a solid, never-letting-up story path. Somebody's going to be a great director.

!

I watched (and played) many of the somehow "qualifying" front pagers at this point in time, and I was ready to leave Newgrounds this eve somewhat depressed...terrible, lame things I saw. Seen.
..And then I gave this one a shot - thank you for this gift you have given me, and all of us. I also watched another short on your site - as someone else said, you have awesome and unmatched wit, and humor. And I emphasize wit...its one thing to create a funny scenario, or a high-concept "comedy" like so many hollyhood lackluster zomedies these days.. but to actually deliver a funny little piece, and bring real wit, real zest, real life into the characters; voices, mannerisms, reactions, real-life awkward studderinces...wow, I am convinced you are among very few shining, and somehow unknown stars in the world of animation comedy. I am right, so feel proud. And take care; keep it up and you will do something that will really get noticed eventually.

charming

what a refreshing little toon - everything from the whites being "castled" to the celebration with the clever twist at the end was very entertaining - you had excellent ideas, and made those ideas fun to watch. Your characterization of all the classic pieces was original, and very charming. I felt for the little (chipmunk? small fury cute thing?) archer... the flamenco guitarist on horse was my fav - all in all, a great movie that is funny and fun without having to resort to gimicks, puns or punchlines. A truely endearing romp.

The ground ones hurt by the fish of the sun.... www.myspace.com/wasptech - for some good original music
